In a month’s time I’ll be taking part in a day long exploration of building for the future. Organised by David Grandorge, it should be an interesting day.
Poetic Pragmatism
A symposium addressing, in a modest and precise manner, the impact of global heating, loss of bio-diversity and resource depletion on the practice of architecture in Europe. Five relatively young architecture offices will give papers on how they have addressed low embodied construction, low operational energy servicing and ecology in nascent projects through different ideas, intentions and outcomes.
